We ship our hard avocados 3 day (or faster). Most of our Internet competition ships hard avocados by ground. We find that at certain times of the year, avocados will begin to ripen 2-3 days off the tree. This is why we insist on 3 day shipping and that the avocados are individually wrapped/padded and shipped in chilled containers, in case they begin to soften during transport. This meticulous packaging and rapid shipping does add to the cost of your avocados, but the result is absolutely the most consistent excellence in quality possible.
If you need perfect ripe avocados in a hurry, we can ship them 2 day (or faster). We promise that if you refrigerate them immediately upon reception they will stay 100% perfect for at least one week.
If it's possible for you to allow us to ship to you on Tuesdays, we can guarantee that our hard/ripening avocados will have been no more than 1 day off the tree. This in addition to express shipping makes these avocados backyard fresh which greatly enhances flavor, texture and storagability.
Also, on Tuesdays we have perfect ripe avocados with no more than 1 day of refrigeration time. This gives our clients maximum storage time in their own refrigerators making our ripe avocados easier to deal with and more flexible in their scheduled use.
You will get maximum freshness upon reception of hard/ripening or ripe/ready-to-use avocados if we ship out on Tuesdays, though we are capable of shipping out excellent quality avocados on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays as well.
